Snakehead Murrels are highly preferred food fish, but the availability of their seedlings for commercial culture is inadequate due to dependency on wild collections. To overcome this challenge, Growel has built an exclusive hatchery for Murrel at Perikigudem in Eluru District of Andhra Pradesh. This will help in spreading of Murrel farming and thereby improve the livelihoods of farmers.
