A New Broodstock Multiplication Centre opens in AP, India.

• Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) Broodstock Multiplication Centre (BMC) with a production capacity of 1,50,000 has opened recently in AP, India which is a milestone event in the mission of Hendrix Genetics.

• The collaboration with India based Sapthagiri Hatcheries in Andhra Pradesh was initiated early last year towards fulfilling their mission.

• The new BMC facility with a massive capacity exceeding 1,50,000 is located in Ranasthalam in the Srikakulam District.

• Management of the BMC is by Kona Bay a subsidiary company of Hendrix Genetics which will provide a stable supply of SPF Broodstock to keep the Shrimp export business risk free and healthy.

• They aim to provide and maintain high quality genetics as those currently imported from their facility in Hawaii with the same SPF status.

• Hendrix Genetics has opened its SPF Shrimp BM facilities in Bali, Indonesia last year.
