A New mobile application, Kampi, is being launched with the aim of significantly enhancing the management of shrimp farms worldwide
The Global Shrimp Forum was introduce the new revolutionary Kampi App developed through a collaboration between Canadian and Ecuadorian experts, Katie Sokalsky, chief executive officer, and Eduardo Arosemena, global chief operations officer.
The app was launched at the Global Shrimp Forum in Utrecht, Netherlands held on 3-5 September.
A management approach called dynamic precision farming powered by artificial intelligence will be introduced by Kampi. App. This innovation enables real-time monitoring of shrimp farms. Farm operators from any location across the globe are empowered to make timely and informed decisions. The Kampi app offers a more sophisticated alternative to the existing shrimp farm management softwares, in providing smart or predictive solutions.
Vision, Optima, and FarmBook are the three main features being integrated in Kampi App.
• Vision is a real-time mobile tool powered by AI in analysing photographs taken with a smartphone. Instant information on shrimp sizes, accurate determination of the average weight per pond, and display of weight distribution data through user-friendly histograms are its main features.
• Optima provides insights into efficient shrimp farm management and offer comprehensive analytical solutions. The use of Real-time data in forecasting potential scenarios in the shrimp business is its special feature that comprises of a modelling and prediction tool, Optima Predictions.
• FarmBook offers connection among the farm communication channels enabling streamlined coordination and dispensing information across all stages of the production chain.
Kampi was introduced at the Global Shrimp Forum by Katie Sokalsky, chief executive officer, and Eduardo Arosemena, global chief operations officer. Sokalsky, with a background in finance and technology, is focused to digitally transform the aquaculture sector. Eduardo Arosemena enriched with wide experience in shrimp production and management, will contribute his expertise to the digital revolution of global shrimp farm management.
